IVIA SKY YAVELOW
What does not knowing look like?
My recent work includes abstract reliefs, drawing, and sculpture, which ruminate on subjectivity, confusion, and the process of confronting unknowns.
Defined lines blur and cross, becoming unclear fields of value that rarely lead to an identifiable image.
Elements such as shadows, glare, smudges, and reflections are centered. Many of these change depending on where and when the work is exhibited, as it interacts with surrounding light and space.
