I am currently working on a series of abstract geometric drawings and paintings that explore the tension between grids and diagonal lines. Patterns, volumes, and shadows are suggested by filling in the spaces created by the different rule sets of every drawing. The legacy of Op Art and Kinetic Art, especially the works of Bridget Riley and Carlos Cruz-Diez, is a constant inspiration.
