Coming from a background of Realism then venturing into POP ART & Abstract Expressionism in the late 60's, early 70's I tried to combine the three. Abstract Realism for lack of a better name. Being a voracious reader, visual word play and symbolism evolved in my work. In trying to create a dialog with the viewer the marks of the creative process became as important as the image. The juxtaposition of objects, movement and marks to involve ones subconscious in an inner dialog.
