LINDSEY FRANCES JONES

Lindsey Frances Jones works in painting, printmaking, illustration, collage, and mosaic for self-narrative and self-discovery. She creates in pursuit of her always-changing visual language, a process that is as important to her as the finished work. Craft-based processes, such as printmaking, anchor her work. Printmaking is a gateway, like a door in the brain, to access the shapes of what has to be said. In this way, she finds her printmaking works help her reveal the structures of her visual language of self.

Lindsey Frances Jones is a mixed media painter, illustrator, printmaker, writer, and teaching artist based in the NYC and NJ area. She is passionate about art as a gateway to accessing the visual language of self.

Her work has appeared in galleries, museums, and juried shows around the U.S., including in Cambridge, MA; Princeton, NJ; Brooklyn, NY; and Shreveport, LA. A solo exhibition of her work, entitled I Was Made in Shapes, was displayed at Teachers College, Columbia University in 2022.
