LYNN EBELING
The artist, Lynn Ebeling, lives on a small farm in Hopewell Township.
I am a graduate of the Carnegie Mellon University, from which I earned a degree in Art Education.
I taught art in the elementary grades for the Pennsbury School District in Pennsylvania for 30 years.
Throughout those years I've been involved in making pottery, paintings and most recently, hand-woven baskets which I've sold at local shows and craft fairs.
Since 1999 I've been retired and continue to weave baskets, along with enjoying life on our farm that I share with my husband, our dogs, sheep, goats, chickens and horses.
My studio is in our home on the farm, a beautiful sun room where I have space to weave and to display my baskets. It's exciting for me to be involved in the Tour des Arts where others can see and enjoy all my work on display.Additional Information or Questions:I've been involved in the Tour des Arts since it's very beginning, looking forward to another wonderful weekend on the tour this year. Lynn
I've been involved in making art throughout my life. I spent my career as an art teacher, for many years helping children to value art and learn to make their own. At the same time, it's been important to engage in my own creative pursuits, and at this point in my life I'm enthralled with weaving baskets. If one loves to make things, it's important to move those things along to new owners in order to have the space to continue to make more of the things one loves. When I sell a basket, I know that someone else values my work, it validates what I'm doing, and encourages me to want to make more. I hope that looking at the collection of my baskets makes you happy, and that perhaps owning one will enhance your home and your life.
