RORY MAHON

The main factors that influence my Art are, form, symmetry, content, and Nature. They guide my vision and dominate my decisions when I am creating. I have been lucky to have these influences in my life and my mind. I am also bound by an unavoidable compulsion to honor my craft. Whether manipulating Bronze, Brick, or pixels, I pay extreme attention to details that any collector or institution will recognize as the highest quality.

Rory grew up in NYC. Attended The Cooper Union-BFA
Moved to Princeton, NJ to begin a very long relationship with the Johnson Atelier where he co-started and ran the Sand Foundry for many years, seeing to the casting of work by World class Sculptors, and teaching apprentices sand molding skills

Currently runs his own Photography, and Sculpture Studio and Foundry at home and teaches classes occasionally. Lives in Hopewell Twp., NJ.
